These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) are the rules for using our website (www.shisorestaurant.com) and booking our tours. By using our site or signing up for a tour, you agree to these Terms. 1. Who We Are

ShisoRestaurant LLC is a US-based company offering gastronomic tours in Japan, Korea, Vietnam, Thailand, and beyond. We’re all about food, culture, and epic experiences. Our contact info’s at the bottom if you need us.

2. Booking a Tour

How to Book: Book through our website or by contacting us directly. You’ll need to provide your name, email, and payment info. Tours are confirmed once payment’s received.

Age Restrictions: You gotta be 18 or older to book. Kids can join tours with a parent or guardian, but some activities (like sake tastings) are 19+ only.

Dietary Needs: Let us know about allergies or dietary restrictions when booking. We’ll do our best to accommodate, but can’t guarantee every dish’ll work for super strict diets.

Pricing: All prices are in USD and include what’s listed in the tour description (meals, guides, etc.). Flights, hotels, and tips aren’t included unless stated.

3. Payment

Full payment’s due at booking. We accept major credit cards and other methods listed on our site.

All transactions are secure, handled by trusted third-party processors. We don’t store your payment info.

If a tour’s price changes after you book, you’re locked in at the original price — no sneaky hikes!

4. Cancellations and Refunds

Our Refund Policy (linked on our site) has the full scoop, but here’s the gist:

Your Cancellation: Cancel 30+ days before the tour for a full refund (minus a $50 fee). 15-30 days out, get 50% back. Less than 15 days, no refunds.

Our Cancellation: If we cancel (like for weather or low sign-ups), you’ll get a full refund or a spot on another tour.

Changes: We might tweak itineraries (e.g., swap a market for a cooking class). If it’s a big change, we’ll offer a partial refund or tour switch, if possible.

5. Your Responsibilities

Health and Safety: Tours involve walking, eating, and sometimes Vespas or boats. You’re responsible for ensuring you’re fit to join. Tell us about health issues (like allergies) before booking.

Behavior: Be respectful to guides, locals, and other travelers. Disruptive behavior (like getting rowdy at a temple) may get you removed without a refund.

Travel Docs: You handle your own visas, passports, and travel insurance. We’re not liable for entry issues or travel disruptions.

Punctuality: Show up on time for tour starts. If you’re late, we’ll try to catch you up, but no refunds for missed activities.

6. Liability

Risks: Tours involve some risks (like navigating busy markets or trying new foods). You join at your own risk. We’re not liable for injuries, illnesses, or losses unless we’re directly negligent.

Third Parties: We work with local guides, restaurants, and vendors. We’re not responsible for their actions or service issues beyond our control.

Force Majeure: We’re not liable for disruptions due to stuff like natural disasters, strikes, or pandemics. We’ll do our best to reschedule or refund if this happens.

7. Intellectual Property

Our website, tour names, and content (like that sweet Hanoi pho guide) are owned by ShisoRestaurant LLC. Don’t copy or use our stuff without permission — we worked hard on it!

8. Privacy

Your data’s safe with us. Check our Privacy Policy for how we collect, use, and protect your info. Spoiler: we don’t sell it, ever.

9. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of New Jersey, USA. Any disputes will be handled in courts in Elizabeth, NJ. Let’s keep things friendly, though!

10. Changes to These Terms

We might update these Terms as our tours or laws evolve. If we make big changes, we’ll post a notice on our site or email you. Keep an eye here for the latest.
